Dangs Darbar is an annual event held every year in the month of February - March in Ahwa, Gujarat. During the fair, the Dangis flock in the local capital of Ahwa to celebrate this joyful fair of singing and dancing. The Dangi tribals reside in the Saputara hills in a region known as Dangs. Dangs Darbar dates back to the traditional "darbar" time of the British. In the bygone era, the political agents used to pay annual financial support to the Rajas and Naiks for seeking right to their lands.
Dangs Darbar festival witnesses a grand celebration of folk culture, with fascinating dances, dramas and songs symbolizing animals or birds. Women change their appearance and flaunt traditional colorful dresses and heavy silver jewellery. Merchandisers from all over the Gujarat state come here to sell their stuffs.
