Event Profile
Approximately one-third of the global population is believed to be infected with Mycobacterium Tuberculosis (MTB) that accounts for nearly eight million cases of active Tuberculosis (TB) annually with an estimated death toll of more than 2 million per year. "Emerging Trends in Tuberculosis Research" is a conference that will provide an opportunity to take stock of deliverables in the areas of diagnostics, drugs, and vaccines for tuberculosis. It will especially be in the light of advances made in the basic biology of the host-pathogen interaction. Significantly, the Symposium will focus on future directions to emerge in these areas so as to provide effective aid to patients. The poster session will provide additional opportunity for extended interactions leading to potential collaborations to counter the MTB.
