Event Profile
Evaluation Conclave 2010 is the first event of its kind that is intended to assemble sector experts, leading practitioners, thought leaders and development professionals from all round the world. The event aims to bridge gaps of theory, practice, and ideas across groups and to potentially form new ones. The conclave will feature the special theme “Making Evaluation Matter”, reflecting a movement to evaluation that begins with relevance and context and with a inclusive understanding of who evaluation should serve (e.g. citizens as well as the development and policy sectors). It will pay notice on organizations and systems occupied in evaluation, and calls for deeper historical and political investigation of the institutions or rules of the game in which evaluation dwells. Evaluation conclave 2010 will also cover small group workshops on a variety of themes which will be focused by teams of global and South Asian thought leaders.
