Event Profile
The conference, under the theme ‘Healing, Medical Power and the Poor in Tribal India’, is organised by the Centre for Social Science and the Centre for the History of Medicine. The event aims to bring together academics and grassroots workers and activists to share their concerns on health development work in history and in the current political climate in tribal India. Some of the possible topics to be discussed in the workshop are indigenous healing systems, self-employed doctors, NGO-provided health care and Christian faith healing.
