Event Profile
International Symposium on Biocomputing intends to present a forum for researchers involved in the field of computer science, life science and statistics to share ideas and experiences, promote future collaborations towards the development of improved and highly efficient bioinformatics tools. The symposium will be organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering & School of Biotechnology, National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala and School of Informatics & Department of Computer Science, Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis, USA, in association with the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM). ISB 2010, with its multidisciplinary approach, will be significant to gain deeper understanding of macromolecular interactions which ultimately define any biological system.
International Symposium on Biocomputing will cover the following topics: Gene Annotation and Sequence Analysis/ Alignment/ Pattern Searches, Modeling Approaches and Protein Structure Prediction, Comparative Genomics and Phylogenetics, Proteomics/ Transcriptomics/ Systems Biology and Quantitative Bioanalysis, Interactomics and Gene/ Cell Regulation, Microarrays/ Networks/ and Pathway Analysis, Systems Biology, Data Mining, Text Mining and Machine Learning, Modeling/ Simulation of Drug Discovery Processes, Signal Processing for Biotechnology, Nanomachines and Biotechnology, Biomedical Imaging for “Omics” data, and Visualization Tools for “Omics” data.
