Event Profile
International Symposium on Experimental Gravitation (ISEG 2009) is meant to be a forum for free discussions on new ideas in experimental gravity, and for updates on current experiments on crucial issues. The event intends to focus the discussions on crucial and decisive experiments capable of charting new directions in gravity research, with relatively less emphasis on confirmatory experiments.
The Symposium will cover several topics such as:
Tests of the equivalence principle, Measurements of G, Search for new short range and intermediate range forces / modification of Newtonian gravity, Casimir force and its measurements, Gravity wave research update, Space-based gravitation experiments, New tests of general relativity, Experimental tests of fundamental aspects of relativity theories, Experiments at the interface of gravity and quantum physics, Tests of quantum gravity ideas, Astrophysical and Cosmological tests of gravity theories, Dark Matter and Dark Energy, Gravitomagnetism and new generation experiments, Gravitation experiments with ultra-cold atoms and BEC, Tests of gravity beyond the standard theory, Anomalous gravitational effects and their tests, Pioneer and other satellite data and possibility of new gravitational effects, New ideas in applications including gravimetry, geodesy, and GPS.
