Kalidas was a great poet and dramatist. The Kalidas Festival of music and dance is held every year in the month of November at Ramtek or Ramgiri. During the festival, some of the renowned personalities of music, dance and drama gather at this scenic place to perform. Kalidas Festival is one of the popular festivals organized by MTDC. The festival reminds of the golden era of the Vidarbha region. It is celebrated with full fervor for two days and nights.
