Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) is a five-day long fashion event that would showcase the amalgamation of Victorian fashion and the fashion of 1960s. The event is an ideal fusion of modern styling and India's textile heritage. Over 40 Indian designers would showcase their fabrics collections along with raw and hand-woven silks at LFW extravaganza. The hub of the event is the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) where models would sashay down the ramp wearing amazing creations, make-up and accessories.
Highlight
This year, the Italian clothing company Sisley and the British brand French Connection UK (FCUK) will also present their Indian collections at the LIFW event. Lakme India Fashion Week will also be covered in the foreign media. The host of media includes The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Times, Vogue, Asian Fashion Magazine UK and Milan Fashion Magazine.
