Event Profile
The National Conference on Emerging Issues in Public Health is being held with special focus on public health levels, patterns, and risk factors associated with communicable and non-communicable diseases in the country. It will highlight what policies and programs and health care financing models are available for the South East Asian region and how effective they have been implemented to reduce the spread and prevention of diseases. The conference will also address how India can benefit from the success stories of Thailand, Indonesia etc, in combating such diseases.
Event theme:
1. Major Infectious Diseases, Reproductive, health and Nutritional problems.
2. Non Communicable Diseases, their risk factors (tobacco use, unhealthy diet, physical inactivity, alcohol, hypertension etc) and Injuries.
3. Health system response including human resources for public health to address the above challenges.
