Rann Utsav is a vibrant festival of Kutch region in Gujarat. The festival will be celebrated in a full moon night. It will provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy traditional music and dances of Kutch region. Moreover, Rann Utsav 2011 aims to give a wonderful chance to the visitors to know more about the colorful culture and progress of Kutch.
The festival will start from Hamirsar Lake and from here the visitors will move to other places of the region. The different folk dance groups and cultural troupes with particular themes will move in a carnival procession. It will give a wonderful chance to the visitors to sit in the camel carts and lorries, beautifully decorated in a traditional style. Excellent food parks will be arranged for offering delicious local dishes to the visitors. According to the carnival performances best troupe will be recognised. It will be a best place for shop as well to be familiar with the handicrafts and traditional artifacts of Kutch. The main objective of the festival is to promote Kutch as a major tourist destination.
