Rongali Utsav is celebrated at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in the month of April every year. It is one of the major festivals of Assam. The festival witnesses the onset of the agricultural season. It is enthusiastically celebrated by all tribes of the state irrespective of caste, religion, creed, faith and belief. Rongali Utsav is a melting pot of the numerous tribes, sub-tribes and communities inhabiting the banks of the mighty river Brahmaputra.
