Symposium on Public Transportation for Indian cities with a special focus on Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) System has been especially designed to address the most compelling issues, challenges and their solutions in order to generate an efficient public transport system for the cities. The symposium is being organized by Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transit System Ltd. (DIMTS) in association with UITP (International Association of Public Transport). It will serve as a platform to discuss on ways and means of promoting Non-Motorized Transport (NMT), issues for developing comprehensive public transport systems for smaller cities, and review all aspects of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) System. It will offer a magnificent opportunity to study and evaluate public transport modes and systems, and examine issues regarding integration of different modes of public transport.
