Western holidays are full of grandeur, pomp and show. Most holidays celebrated in US, Europe and other American countries are considered Christian, which is the dominant religion there. However, many of there rituals are imported from pagan festivals and other similar festivals celebrated locally. All these festivals have interesting history and legends attached to them but the common theme remains sharing, kindness, love and gratitude. All the holidays and festivals are meant to strengthen relationships, family and friendship bonds. They provide an opportunity to us to be in touch with our loved ones and take out time for them from our busy lives so that they feel loved and cared for, forever.
