Ingredients:
- For the Halvah:
- 3 cups Farina or Wheat Cream
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 cup Butter
- 4 Eggs (separated)
- 1 cup Sugar
- ½ cup slivered Almonds (blanched)
For the Syrup:
- 2½ cups Sugar
- 3 cups Water
- 1 stick Cinnamon
- 2 whole Cloves
How to make Baked Halvah:
- Mix farina with cinnamon and set aside.
- Beat butter in a bowl.
- In another bowl, beat egg yolks with sugar until thick.
- Add to the butter and beat thoroughly.
- Add egg whites and beat until stiff.
- Whisk farina into the butter-egg mixture.
- Add almonds and mix gently.
- Pour into a buttered pan. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F oven for 45 minutes.
- Prepare the syrup by boiling the syrup ingredients for 8 minutes.
- Throw away the cinnamon and cloves.
- Pour the syrup over hot halvah.
- Cool and serve.
