Ingredients:
- 250 g medium Prawns
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 2 medium Onions (chopped)
- 3 Green Chilies (slit)
- 1 stalk of Curry Leaves
- ¼ medium Coconut (grated)
- 2 tsp Red Chili Powder
- ½ Turmeric Powder
- Salt (to taste)
- 3 medium Potatoes
How to make Chemmeen Ularthiyathu:
- Peel the potatoes and cut into 1 cm pieces.
- Remove the heads and veins of the prawns.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add mustard seeds and stir fry.
- When the mustard seeds start crackling, add onions, green chilies, curry leaves, and coconut. Fry till the coconut turns brown.
- Add prawns, potatoes, spices, little water, and salt.
- Cook on low flame until the gravy has been absorbed and the prawns and potatoes are cooked through.
- Serve hot.
