Ingredients:
  • ½ kg Chicken Pieces
  • 6 Onions (chopped)
  • 3 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 Lemon (juiced)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 4 Tomatoes (pureed)
  • Sugar (to taste)

    To Grind:
  • 6 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 6 Dry Red Chilies
  • Little Vinegar
How to make Chicken Patia:
  • Marinate chicken with salt and lemon juice. Keep aside for 1 hour.
  • Grind garlic, cumin seeds, and red chillies with little vinegar into a fine paste.
  • Heat sesame oil in a pan and shallow fry chopped onions.
  • Mix in the ground masala.
  • Add chicken pieces and cook until tender.
  • Stir in vinegar, tomato puree, sugar, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot with boiled rice.
