Ingredients:
- 1 Chinese Okra (Turai) (peeled, cut in semi-circles)
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Garlic (minced)
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Onion (medium) (finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp Ginger (minced)
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric
- 1/2 cup Fenugreek Leaves (Methi) (packed, finely chopped)
- 2 Tomato (medium) (finely chopped)
- Green Chili (to taste) (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup Water
How to make Chinese Okra:
- In a wok, heat oil and add cumin seeds.
- Once it splutters add onion, ginger and garlic. Sauté until it turns brown.
- Add Chinese Okra and sauté it for 2-3 minutes.
- Into it add turmeric, green chillies and fenugreek leaves.
- Sauté it for another minute or until the ingredients leaves the pan.
- Add tomatoes cover it and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add salt and Garam Masala into the mixture and mix well.
- Add water, cover and cook till Okra is soft and fully cooked.
Suggestions:
Serve with white rice.
