Fish Temperade Recipe

Fans of sea food should pamper themselves with the Fish temperade, a dish which is quite popular in Goa and other coastal regions of India. A bowl of rice with this delicacy is considered a satisfactory meal by many.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup Assorted Shellfish
- 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 cup Grated Coconut
- 2 Large Onions
- 3 Dried Red Chillies
- 3 tbsp Tamarind pulp
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 6 Flakes Garlic
- Small piece of Ginger
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Salt to taste
- A little amount of water
How to make Fish Temperade:
- Heat oil in a pan and seethe the cumin seeds, chillies and coriander till they splutter.
- Grind coconut, garlic, onion and ginger to make fine paste.
- Seethe this paste in oil.
- Add little water and fry for a minute.
- Add turmeric powder, tamarind pulp, sugar and salt.
- Now add the fish and cook it till sauce gets thickened.
- Fish Temperade is ready.
