Ingredients:
  • ½ Kg Chicken
  • 8 Red Chilies
  • 2.5 cm pieces Turmeric
  • 4 Cardamoms
  • 2 tsp Vinegar
  • 6 Peppercorn
  • 5 cm Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 small flake Garlic
  • 1 Coconut ( Grated)
  • 4 Cloves
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 2.5 cm piece Ginger
  • 1 tsp Lime Juice
  • 1 Onion ( Sliced)
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • Salt to taste
How to make Goan chicken curry:
  • Clean, wash and cut the chicken and put some salt on it.
  • In a mixer add red chili powder, peppercorns, cardamoms, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, onion and make a fine paste.
  • Heat up of the oil in a pan add onion until it becomes brown, add chicken pieces and cook it well.
  • Add little water and let it cook for another 10-15 min.
  • Add coconut and ground mixture and spices, tamarind juice, salt sugar and vinegar and cook it in a low flame for 15-20 min.
  • Serve it.
Suggestions:
serve with roti or chapati
