Ingredients:
  • 1½ pounds Pork Chops
  • Garlic Powder (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 1 large head Cabbage (cut into squares)
  • 1 pound large Egg Noodles
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • Water (as required)
How to make Halushki:
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, salt and pepper on the pork chops.
  • Place them in a large greased saucepan.
  • Add onion and fry the mixture till it is well cooked and turns brown.
  • Remove the chops and keep aside.
  • Add water to the saucepan and mix with the pork drippings.
  • Add cabbage and cook it completely.
  • Boil the egg noodles in a separate large saucepan.
  • Drain the noodles and mix with butter.
  • Chop the pork into bite size pieces and keep aside.
  • When the cabbage is well cooked, add pork pieces and cooked noodle.
  • Mix well and serve hot.
