Ingredients:
- 1 Kg Fish (Cleaned)
- 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 2.tbsp Coriander Powder
- ½ tsp Fenugreek
- 5 Clove Garlic
- 1 tsp Jeera
- ½ Jeera Powder
- 1 Big Onion ( Sliced)
- ½ tsp Mustard Seeds
- 2 springs Curry Leaves
- ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 inches piece Tamarind
- ½ tsp Pepper
- Ginger (Crushed)
- Oil
- Salt ( to taste)
How to make Meen Kuzhambu:
- Take tamarind extract . Keep it aside in a bowl.
- In a mixer add ½ onion, garlic, jeera, pepper and make a paste.
- Add grinded paste into tamarind extract bowl and add coriander powder, jeera powder, chili powder and salt.
- Take a pan add oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, once it start spluttering add fenugreek seeds and then add remaining ½ onion and turmeric powder fry it until onion becomes brown.
- Now add tamarind extract, once it begins to boil add ginger.
- Finally add fish and cook it in low flame until fish is done.
Suggestions:
Serve with rice or chapati.
