Ingredients:
- ½ cup Butter/ Margarine
- ¼ cup Baking Cocoa
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Sugar
- ¾ cup All-purpose Flour
- ½ cup Pecans (chopped)
- 2 tbsp Orange Juice Concentrate
- 1 tbsp Orange Peel (grated)
- 1/8 tsp Salt
For Frosting
- 1½ cups Confectioners' Sugar
- 3 tbsp Butter/ Margarine (softened)
- 2 tbsp Orange Juice Concentrate
- 1 tbsp Orange Peel (grated)
How to make Orange Brownies:
- Place a small saucepan on heat and melt butter in it.
- Add cocoa and stir till smooth.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- Break eggs in a bowl and beat until frothy.
- Add sugar, flour, pecans, orange juice concentrate, orange peel and salt. Do not stir.
- Pour the cocoa mixture into the flour mixture and whisk well.
- Grease a 8-inch square baking pan.
- Pour the batter into the baking pan.
- Bake the cake at 350°F for 28 to 32 minutes or till the edges start pulling away from the sides of the pan.
- Remove and cool on a wire rack.
- To prepare the frosting, mix together confectioners’ sugar, butter and orange juice concentrate.
- Spread the frosting over the brownies.
- Slice them into bars.
- Garnish with orange peel and serve..
