Ingredients:
- 2 cups Rice Flour (roasted)
- ½ Coconut (shredded)
- 200 gm Jaggery
- 2 Cardamom Seeds (grounded)
- 2 tsp Ghee
- Salt to taste
- Banana Leaf
How to make Sarkkara Ada:
- Take flour with lukewarm water in a pan and mix well. Put ghee, cardamom, salt to taste and mix well.
- Shape it into medium size balls.
- Take water, jaggery in a pan and boil until it gets half liquid. Then strain it removing the solid stuff.
- Combine the liquid with coconut.
- Place the rice balls on one side of banana leaf and press them lightly. Top up them with coconut mixture.
- Fold up the leaf and steam it.
- Serve it hot.
