Ingredients:
- 1 Pound Potatoes (peeled)
- 3 tbsp Butter (salt free)
- 1 Garlic Clove (crushed)
- 2 tbsp Chives or Green Onions (Minced)
- Salt
How to make Smashed Potatoes With Garlic and Chives:
- Preheat the oven on 350 degrees F and place the potatoes on oven-proof bowl with a lid.
- Add a tbsp of butter and half a tsp of salt to it. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Take out the potatoes and see if the butter has been fully absorbed.
- Now, put 1 more tbsp of butter and cook the potatoes again till they are done. This woudl take about 1/2 an hour.
- When cooked, mash the potatoes using a masher. Do not pound them into oblivion.
- Toss them with butter and garlic.
- Garnish with minced chives.
Suggestions:
