Ingredients:
  • 1 Pound Potatoes (peeled)
  • 3 tbsp Butter (salt free)
  • 1 Garlic Clove (crushed)
  • 2 tbsp Chives or Green Onions (Minced)
  • Salt
How to make Smashed Potatoes With Garlic and Chives:
  • Preheat the oven on 350 degrees F and place the potatoes on oven-proof bowl with a lid.
  • Add a tbsp of butter and half a tsp of salt to it. Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Take out the potatoes and see if the butter has been fully absorbed.
  • Now, put 1 more tbsp of butter and cook the potatoes again till they are done. This woudl take about 1/2 an hour.
  • When cooked, mash the potatoes using a masher. Do not pound them into oblivion.
  • Toss them with butter and garlic.
  • Garnish with minced chives.
