Ingredients:
  • 1 Long snakegourd
  • 4 Cups curd (yoghurt)
  • 1 Onion
  • 4 Green chilies, crushed
  • Some curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera
  • 1/2 tsp Rai
  • 1 tbsp Oil
How to make Snakegourd Raita:
  • Peel and wash snakegourd. Cut it into rounds.
  • Boil the cut snakegourd in 2 cups of water, till it gets tender.
  • Put curd in bowl and add salt. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add jeera, rai, curry leaves and onion pieces.
  • After the onion turns brown, add turmeric powder and boiled snakegourd pieces.
  • Add green chilies. Take off from flame and add to the curd.
  • Serve with cooked rice.
  • Snakegourd Raita is ready.
