Ingredients:
- 2 glasses Black Gram
- 1 Onion (cut into small pieces)
- Salt (to taste)
- 2 Green Chilies (chopped)
- 1 tsp Pepper
- Few Curry Leaves (chopped)
- 1 inch piece of Ginger (chopped)
- ¼ tsp Soda Powder
- Oil (for frying)
How to make Uzhunnu Vada:
- Soak black gram in water for some time. Grind into a paste, adding ¼ cup water.
- Flavor with salt and grind again.
- Transfer into a large bowl and mix in the rest of the ingredients.
- Shape the mixture into small round balls. Flatten each ball and make a hole in the centre.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the vadas, until golden brown.
- Serve hot with sambhar.
