Dahi Puri
Ingredients:
- 20 Puris (golgappa)
- 1/3 cup Yoghurt (thick)
- 1/4cups Peas (boiled with salt)
- ¼ cup Potatoes (boiled)
- ¼ tsp Jeera (cumin seeds)
- ¼ tsp Haldi (turmeric) Powder
- ¼ tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tsp Chilli Powder
- 4 tbsp Sweet Imli Chutney
- Salt to taste
- Oil (as required)
For garnishing
- Fresh Coriander (chopped)
- Cumin Seed Powder (roasted)
- Red Chilli Powder
- Black Salt (kala namak)
- Salt to taste
- Fine Sev (ready made)
Cooking Instructions:
- Take a pan and heat oil in it.
- Add cumin seeds to the heated oil.
- When the seeds start spluttering add the diced boiled potatoes.
- Now add salt, chilli powder, haldi powder and garam masala powder.
- Saute for a few minutes and then remove the pan from the stove.
- Pour the yoghurt in a bowl and whip it properly.
- Make a small hole at the centre of each puri.
- Now put into it the boiled peas, potato mixture and little sweet chutney.
- Pour two tsp of yogurt into the puri.
- Garnish the puri with coriander leaves, red chilli powder, black salt and roasted cumin seeds. Sprinkle little salt and serve hot and spicy dahi puris.
