Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp All-purpose Flour
- 2 cups grated Potatoes
- 1 medium Onion, grated
- 1/4 cup Milk, scalded
- 1 Egg
- A dash of Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- Vegetable oil
- Parsley
Cooking Instructions:
- Take a bowl and combine grated potatoes and onion
- Put it in a strainer to allow the liquid to drain off into a bowl
- Once starch has settled, pour water off and you can add starch back to potatoes.
- Now, you can pour the hot milk over the potatoes and add a beaten egg
- Take a bowl and Sift together flour, seasonings, and baking powder and blend into the potato mixture
- If you want to add chopped parsley, you can add it at this stage
- Heat about 1 to 3 inches of oil in a deep skillet
- Add potato mixture in tablespoon quantity into the hot fat
- Fry until it gets golden brown and drain on paper towels.
