Ingredients:
- 2½ cups Hazelnuts or Filberts, finely chopped
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups Flour, sifted
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Butter, room temperature
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Cooking Instructions:
- Sift flour, salt and sugar together in a bowl
- Combine butter and vanilla
- Add 2 cups well chopped hazelnuts to this mixture and mix it well
- Shape the dough into balls of 1/2-inch
- Roll half of the balls in remaining hazelnuts
- Place them on the greased baking sheets
- Bake at 350° for about 20 to 30 minutes
- Roll plain half of the hazelnut cookies in sifted confectioners' sugar while still warm
- It makes about four or five dozen cookies for you.
