Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Soft Butter
- 1 cup Brown Sugar (packed)
- 3 medium Egg Yolks (beaten)
- 1-1/2 cups Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 3 tsp Sour Milk
- 1 cup Blackberry Jam
- 3/4 cup Raisins
- 3 medium Egg Whites
Cooking Instructions:
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add egg yolks and mix the ingredients well.
- Sift the dry ingredients together.
- Add sour milk, jam and egg whites to the dry ingredients. Blend thoroughly.
- Add in lightly-floured raisins.
- Prepare two lightly floured cake pans of 8-inch each and divide the batter in the two.
- Bake at a temperature of 375 deg F, for 30 minutes.
- Frost if desired.
