Meatballs in Onion Sauce

Ingredients:
- 2 pounds Beef (ground)
- 1 pound Pork (ground)
- 1 cup Bread Crumbs
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 medium Egg
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 medium Onions (finely chopped)
- 1/2 cup Butter
For Making Onion Sauce
- 3 cups Onions (thinly sliced)
- 1 cup Butter
- 6 tbsp Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 ½ cups Beef Broth
- 1/2 cup Milk
Cooking Instructions:
- Soak the bread crumbs in milk.
- Mix all the ingredients listed for meatballs, except butter.
- Form meat balls the size of walnuts.
- Melt butter in a well.
- Brown the meatballs well in the butter and allow to simmer, covered, for an hour.
- In the meantime, sauté onions in butter, in a separate pan, until they are caramelized.
- Blend in flour and salt.
- Slowly, add milk and beef broth and stir until the sauce become thick.
- Pour the onion sauce over meatballs and serve.
