Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup white Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp Lemon peel (freshly grated)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 3 tbsp Lemon juice
- 2 cups Sugar
Cooking Instructions:
- With a mixer beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time and blend them thoroughly with the mixture.
- Now add the sour cream, vanilla, and lemon peel and beat for two minutes.
- In a separate bowl mix the flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking soda and pour over the egg mixture.
- Mix well
- Pour the mixture into a loaf pan and bake for 165 degrees centigrade for 35 minutes.
- Cool for five minutes and over it pour the mixture of lemon juice and sugar.
- Allow it to set for sometime before serving.
