Salad with Caramelized Slivered Almonds

Ingredients:
- For Salad
- 1 can Oranges (drained)
- 1 cup Avocado (diced)
- 1 cup Celery (diced)
- 2-3 Green Onions (sliced)
- 1-2 head Butter Lettuce
For Almonds
- 3/4 cup Almond (slivered)
- 1/4 cup Sugar
For Dressing
- 1 tbsp fresh Parsley (chopped)
- 1/4 cup White vinegar
- 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 2 dashes Tabasco Sauce
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
Cooking Instructions:
- Mix all the salad ingredients, except for the avocado.
- Prepare the dressing.
- Stir the almonds and sugar continuously in a small bowl until it is well sauteed.
- Add almonds, avocados and dressing to the salad mixture.
- Toss it well to coat salad and serve immediately.
Suggestions:
- Serve with steak and chicken.
