Ingredients:
- ¾ cup Butter
- 4 (1 ounce) squares Unsweetened Chocolate
- 4 Eggs
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup All-purpose Flour
For Walnut Crunch Topping
- ¾ cup packed Brown Sugar
- ¼ cup Butter (cubed)
- 2 Eggs (lightly beaten)
- 2 tbsp All-purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 4 cups Walnuts (chopped)
Cooking Instructions:
- Grease a 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
- Place butter and chocolate in a heavy saucepan and melt on heat. Stir well until smooth.
- Remove and cool the mixture slightly.
- Take a bowl and combine together eggs and sugar. Beat until fluffy.
- Stir in vanilla and chocolate mixture.
- Add in flour and mix well until well blended.
- Pour the batter into the baking pan.
- To prepare the topping, combine together brown sugar and butter in a saucepan.
- Cook, while stirring, until the butter is melted.
- Add eggs, flour and vanilla. Mix well.
- Mix in walnuts.
- Spread the mixture over the brownies batter.
- Bake the batter at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
