Ingredients:
- 8 Potato and Onion Pierogies (frozen)
- 2 thick bone-in Pork Loin Chops (3/4 inch)
- 1/2 tsp Salt (divided)
- 1/2 tsp Pepper (divided)
- 4 tbsp Butter (divided)
- 1 medium Sweet Onion (sliced and separated into rings)
- 1 Golden Delicious Apple (cut into 1/4 inch slices)
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Cider Vinegar
Cooking Instructions:
- Sprinkle the pork chops with salt and pepper.
- Cook the Pierogies.
- In another skillet melt the butter and cook the chops till the juices run clear.
- Remove the chops and in the same skillet sauté the onions.
- Add the apples and sauté until tender.
- Add the sugar, vinegar and the remaining salt and pepper and stir.
- Bring to a boil and then simmer for 5 minutes with the skillet uncovered.
- Drain the Pierogies and add it to the skillet. Then add the chops and stir to coat with the sauce.
