Ingredients:
- 1 ounce Yeast
- ½ cup Milk
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 3½ cups Flour
- 1 medium Egg Yolk
- A pinch of Salt
- ½ cup Vegetable Oil
Filling
- 2/3 cup Poppy Seeds
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 3 tbsp Vanilla
- Cinnamon (to taste)
Cooking Instructions:
- Combine together yeast, milk, sugar, flour, egg yolk, salt and vegetable oil in a large bowl.
- Knead well to form soft dough. Let the dough rise until double in size.
- Divide the dough into small buns.
- Mix together poppy seeds, milk, sugar, ginger, butter, vanilla and cinnamon.
- Roll out the buns and spread the filling in the center of the bun.
- Fold the bun over and seal securely.
- Allow the buns to rise.
- Bake the buns at 325 °F for 20 minutes.
- Serve hot.
