Ingredients:
- 2 cups Sugar
- 2 cups Water
- Coarse Sugar (for coating)
- Granulated Sugar (for coating)
- 2 cups Cranberries (washed)
Cooking Instructions:
- In a saucepan, add sugar and water. Set it to simmer until the sugar dissolves.
- Cook the sugar syrup a bit. It should be warm and not very hot, so that it does not burst the cranberries.
- Spoon it over cranberries and refrigerate it covered overnight.
- On a cookie sheet, lay cranberries; allow it to dry for few hours; drain and toss in coarse sugar.
- Now add sugar (regular) to avoid any damp spots.
- Serve it on a cheese spread, or on the top of custards and puddings.
