Ingredients:
- For the Meat:
- 1 kg Fatty Lamb (cut in pieces)
- 1/2 kg small Whole Onions
- 1 large Carrot
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 kg Onions (sliced)
- 1/2 kg Potatoes (boiled)
- 1/2 kg Green Peas (boiled)
- 60 ml Vinegar
- 3-4 Eggs (hard-boiled) (for garnish)
For the Paste:
- 120 ml Vinegar
- 1 Coconut (grated)
- 1 large piece Ginger
- 1 pod Garlic
- 6 Green Chilies
- 6 dry Red Chilies
- 2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Coriander seeds
- 10 Almonds
- 8 Cardamoms
- 9 Cloves
- 2 sticks Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Turmeric
Cooking Instructions:
- Boil the meat, whole onions and carrot with 1 tsp salt in enough water until tender. Remove from the heat and smash the onions and carrot.
- Heat oil and fry the sliced onions until crisp and golden, dry and crush them finely. Combine this with the meat stew and mix well.
- Fry the spice paste for few minutes and add to the stew. Add in the potatoes, green peas and vinegar. Mix well and simmer on low heat until they are tender enough to blend well.
- Serve with steamed rice.
