Ingredients:
- 1 cup Basmati Rice
- ½ cup grated Coconut
- 2 tbsp roasted Sesame Seeds (grounded)
- 2 Green Chilies (chopped)
- 1 tbsp Cashew Nuts (broken)
- 1 tbsp Ghee
For Tempering:
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 Dry Red Chili (slit)
- ½ tsp Asafoetida Powder
- 1 tsp Black Gram
- 1 tsp Bengal Gram
- 1 sprig of Curry Leaves
- 1 tbsp Ghee
Cooking Instructions:
- Mix rice with water in a pot and cook until rice turns tender.
- Heat ghee in a pan and fry cashew nuts until golden brown.
- Stir in sesame seeds, green chilies and coconut. Cook until the coconut turns deep brown.
- Mix in fried nuts and rice. Flavor with salt.
- Heat ghee in a separate pan and fry all the ingredients for tempering.
- Pour it over the prepared rice.
- Serve hot with curd.
