Ingredients:
- 3 Potatoes (cubed)
- 1½ cups Basmati Rice
- 3 Onions (chopped)
- Handful of Curry Leaves
- ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- A pinch of Asafetida Powder
- Salt (to taste)
- A pinch of Mustard Seeds
- 2 tbsp Oil
Cooking Instructions:
- Cook rice in sufficient water, covered for 10 minutes, on medium flame.
- Heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard seeds.
- Add onions and curry leaves. Shallow fry.
- Stir in potatoes with water and salt. Simmer until the potatoes turn tender.
- Mix in turmeric powder, chili powder, and asafetida powder. Cook until the water is fully absorbed in.
- Add rice and blend well.
- Serve hot.
