Ingredients:
- For the Crust:
- 2¾ cup Flour
- 1 cup Butter
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ cup Sugar
- ¼ to 1/3 cup Water
For the Filling:
- 3 ripe Pears (halved and cored)
- ½ cup Heavy Cream
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 7-8 pieces crystallized Ginger
- ¼ cup Vodka
Cooking Instructions:
- Prepare dough by combining flour, butter, salt, sugar, and water.
- Refrigerate for half an hour. Remove and roll out into a large circle. Line into a 10-inch pie plate.
- Bake in a preheated oven to 400 degrees F for 15 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Soak ginger in vodka for sometime.
- Remove and chop finely.
- Sprinkle over the bottom of the pie crust.
- Place the pears over it.
- Beat cream with sugar.
- Add vodka and whisk well.
- Pour over the pears and bake at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes.
- Serve warm or cold.
