Ingredients:
- For the Brownies:
- 1 (19.8 ounce) package Brownie Mix
- ½ cup Water
- ¼ cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 Egg
- 2 tsp Instant Coffee Granules
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
For the Filling:
- ¼ cup Butter (softened)
- ½ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 2 tsp Instant Coffee Granules
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup chopped Walnuts
- ¾ cup semisweet Chocolate Chips
For the Icing:
- ½ cup semisweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 tbsp Butter
- ¼ tsp Instant Coffee Granules
- 1 tsp Milk
Cooking Instructions:
- Mix well all the brownie ingredients in a large bowl and beat thoroughly.
- Pour into a buttered 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpaste inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Meanwhile, beat butter with brown sugar, until creamy and light.
- Add egg, coffee and vanilla. Mix well.
- Add walnuts and chocolate chips. Stir.
- Remove the baked brownie mixture from the oven and spread the filling.
- Bake again at 350 degrees for 17 minutes.
- Melt butter and chocolate chips in a pan on low heat, stirring continuously.
- Combine coffee and milk together in a separate bowl.
- Add to the chocolate-butter mix. Stir until it thickens.
- Remove the brownies and cool for 3-4 minutes.
- Thereafter, pour the melted syrup over the brownies.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely.
- Cut into squares and serve.
