Ingredients:
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Water
- ¼ cup Butter
- 1½ tsp Salt
- 6 cups All-Purpose Flour (Maida)
- 1½ tbsp Active Dry Yeast
- ½ cup Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1/3 cup Butter (softened)
- 1½ tsp Cinnamon (ground)
- ¾ cup Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Walnuts (chopped)
For the Frosting:
- 2 cups Confectioners' Sugar
- 3 tbsp Butter (melted)
- ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
- 3 tbsp Milk
Cooking Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degree F.
- In a saucepan, heat 1 cup milk, along with water and ¼ cup butter until very warm.
- Combine milk mixture with salt, flour, yeast, sugar, and eggs and knead into smooth dough.
- Place the dough into a greased bowl and let rise for 1-2 hours.
- Knead and divide into 2 parts and roll-out each into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
- Coat each rectangle with the softened butter.
- Combine the cinnamon, walnuts and brown sugar. Sprinkle over the rectangles.
- Roll the dough up into logs starting at the long side. Slice each log into 12 parts. Arrange them on 2 (9x13 inch) greased baking pans and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden in colour.
For the Frosting:
- In a bowl, combine together the confectioners' sugar, 3 tbsp melted butter, vanilla, and 3 tbsp milk.
- Spread over baked rolls and leave for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve thereafter.
