Ingredients:
- For Tikka
- 2 cups Paneer (Cheese)(2-inch cubes)
- 1 Capsicum (Shimla Mirch)(square pieces)
- 1 Onion (thickly sliced)
- 1 Tomato (thickly sliced)
- ½ cup thick Yogurt (Curd)
- 2 tsp Red Chili Powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 2-3 Bay Leaves (powdered)
- ½ tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tsp Tandoori Masala
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Salt to taste
For Gravy
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1 large Onion (grated)
- 2 cups Tomato Puree
- 1 tsp Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Tandoor Masala
- 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Butter
- 1 cup Milk
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves (chopped)
Cooking Instructions:
- Combine together all the spices for tikka, lemon juice, salt and yogurt in a large bowl.
- Blend the vegetables and paneer to the mixture and leave it for 2-3 hours.
- Preheat the grill to 350 degrees F and arrange paneer and vegetables alternatively in 2 skewers. Grill turning frequently until golden brown from all the sides.
- Remove from skewers on platter and prepare the gravy.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan. Add grated onion along with garlic paste and simmer for a while.
- Add tomato puree and chili powder, tandoor masala and salt. Stir well for 2 minutes.
- Pour in milk and grilled vegetables and paneer. Bring to boil and remove from the heat.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and butter.
- Serve hot with nan or chapatti.
