Turmeric Rice

Ingredients:
- 40 gm Butter
- 1 Onion (finely sliced)
- 280 gm Basmati Rice (rinsed)
- ½ tsp Turmeric (Haldi)
- Salt (to taste)
- 650 ml Hot Water
Cooking Instructions:
- Heat butter in a pan and fry onion for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Pour into rice and stir it gently.
- Mix in turmeric with salt and hot water.
- Cook it covered for 15 minutes, or until water is completely absorbed in.
- Serve it hot with raita.
