Ingredients:
- For the Dough:
- 500 ml Lukewarm Milk
- 50 gm Yeast
- 200 gm Sugar
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp Cardamom (ground)
- 1 Egg
- 200 gm Margarine
- 1 kg Flour
For the Filling:
- 100 gm Butter
- Cinnamons as desired
- Lots of Sugar
For the Topping:
- 1 Egg (beaten)
- Coarse Sugar as required
Cooking Instructions:
- Thaw yeast in milk and mix in sugar, salt, cardamom, egg.
- Put in half of the flour and mix it well into soft dough.
- Add margarine with adequate flour and mix it well. Then keep it covered with kitchen towel for 30 min.
- Flour a baking board and place on the dough. Press it for 2-3 min and split into half. Spread out one part of the dough into rectangular sheet using rolling pin.
- Apply butter on the sheet and add on sugar with cinnamon. Next roll up the sheet firmly using longer side.
- Slice the bar into triangles. Roll the buns upwards and push the centers in using fingers. Do the same with second dough.
- Transfer the buns to baking tray and keep it covered with greaseproof paper for 30 min.
- Then remove the paper and brush over beaten egg. Pour over course sugar.
- Set the oven at 225°C and bake it for 10-15 min or until it is golden brown.
- Serve it with cup of coffee.
