Ingredients:
- 20 Jackfruit Pieces
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1 cup Jaggery (grated)
- 10 Cashew Nuts
- 2 tbsp Coconut (thinly sliced)
- 10 Cashew Nuts
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1/4 cup Coconut Milk or Regular Fat Milk
Cooking Instructions:
- Pressure cook the jack fruit pieces for one whistle.
- Blend the cooked jackfruit pieces into a fine paste once it is cool. Keep it aside.
- Take a bottom heavy pan and put the paste and then water into it. Boil the mixture under low flame until the paste becomes watery.
- Add jaggery and boil it for another 10 minutes under low flame.
- Add milk into the mixture and boil for five more minutes.
- Take a frying pan add ghee, once ghee melts fry coconut pieces and cashews.
- Put the fried cashews and coconut into the Payasam.
- Take the Payasam from the flame and it is ready to be served!
