Ingredients:
- ¼ Cup Methi
- ½ Cup Toor Dal
- 10 Curry Leaves
- A pinch of Asfoetida Powder
- 5 Red Chilies
- 6 Green Chilies ( Sliced)
- ¼ tsp Pepper Powder
- 1 tsp Sambar Powder
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 inch piece of Tamarind
- Coriander Leaves
- Oil
- Salt ( to taste)
Cooking Instructions:
- In a cooker add dal, methi, pinch turmeric in a cook till 2 whistles.
- In another boil tamarind water with salt. Add the cooked dhal mixture and boil it for 5 min.
- heat up a 1 tsp oil add mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chilies powder, Once they start splutter add sambar powder and pepper powder.
- Fry it for 2-3 sec and pour this mixture on the sambar and add the green chillies and boil for 10-15 min.
- Turn off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves.
Suggestions:
- Serve with bhaji or rice.
