Ingredients:
- 300 gms Toovar Dal
- 1 big Tomato (chopped)
- 1 Lemon(juice)
- ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
- 4 Green Chilies (chopped)
- 45 gms Jaggery ( Grated)
- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- 6 Cocum Pieces
- 30 gms Peanuts
- 2 Red Chilies
- ¼ tsp Fenugreek Seeds
- ¼ tsp Cumin Seeds
- ¼ tsp Mustard Seeds
- 12 Curry Leaves
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 3 Cloves
- Oil
- Salt (to taste)
- Coriander Leaves ( Garnishing)
Cooking Instructions:
- Wash dal and peanuts in 750 ml of water.
- Once dal is cooked, mix it till it become smooth.
- Heat up the pan with oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves , cloves, bay leaves , fenugreek, asafoetida and red chilies.
- Add tomato, cocum, chili powder, green chilies, turmeric powder, jaggery and fry it for 3 min.
- Add 750 ml water, salt , dal and lime juice.
- Cook it for 15 min in low flame and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve it.
