Ingredients:
- 1 cup Butter
- 1 cup Water
- 4 tbsp Cocoa
- 2 cups White Sugar
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour (Maida)
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 Eggs
- ½ cup Sour Cream
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
For the Frosting:
- ½ cup Butter
- 4 tbsp Cocoa
- 6 tbsp Milk
- 455 gm Confectioners' Sugar
- 1 cup Walnuts (chopped)
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Cooking Instructions:
- Take butter, water and cocoa in a saucepan and get to a boil. Take off the heat.
- Mix flour, sugar, baking soda and salt in a bowl. Stir in the cocoa mixture.
- Beat eggs along with sour cream and vanila extract. Add to the batter. Blend well.
- Transfer the batter to a buttered 15x10 inch baking pan and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, or until toothpick test is completed.
For the Frosting:
- Put butter, cocoa, and milk in a saucepan and get to a boil. Take off the heat.
- Mix in confectioners' sugar and nuts.
- Stir in vanilla extract and pour it over the cake as soon as cake is baked.
- Cool, slice and serve.
